Experience and stability

Academic Conferences has been in business since 1988 and currently has 18 employees. With extensive experience in both small and large events, we have built up a secure structure and a working method with reliable and proven routines. We continuously follow developments in the industry and are members of the ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) and work closely with the Stockholm and Uppsala Convention Bureaus. Over the years, we have participated in over 2,000 conferences, which has given us a solid understanding of what it takes to achieve good results.

Understanding the needs of academia

We have a thorough understanding of the values of universities and the conditions that apply in the academic world. This enables us to quickly familiarize ourselves with your needs and create a plan that works in practice. We work regularly with Karolinska Institutet, SLU, Stockholm University, and Uppsala University, ensuring that the conference is registered in the relevant calendars and in the documentation required by the universities.

As an internal unit, you do not need to conduct a procurement process to collaborate with us. This saves both time and administration, and gives you direct access to our network of contacts.

No expenses incurred during the process

We handle all ongoing costs during the planning process, including marketing and administration. All transactions are made via a separate conference account, and accounting is only done once the event has been completed.

Financial overview

We help you develop a well-thought-out and sustainable budget and assist you with financing and sponsorship partnerships. All costs and revenues are collected in one place – a separate account for each conference. This allows you to keep track of the financial situation at all times without mixing up the conference budget with that of the institution. We make sure you have up-to-date information throughout the process.

Technical solutions

We work with up-to-date, user-friendly systems that make administration smooth. Participant and abstract management takes place in secure digital systems, and as a client, you will receive your own login details for these. Here you can follow the registration status in real time and view submitted abstracts.
